Community Bike Maintenance Classes

Learn how to maintain your bike with beginner-friendly bike maintenance and repair classes! Led by Norte’s Chief Mechanic & Community Educator, Tyler Witkuszyski, each class provides a hands-on, accessible learning experience for any type of rider – child or adult!

Summer Bike Maintenance Schedule

On Friday mornings throughout the summer, our Norte Wheelhouse team offers an introductory course to get young riders comfortable doing basic maintenance on their bikes. This 90-minute class prioritizes hands on learning on the rider's personal bike to help kids understand mechanics related to flat tires, bike wheels, chains, general maintenance, and more. Working on bikes is a messy, greasy job- participants should arrive in clothes they're comfortable getting dirty.

Dates: 7/31, 8/7, 8/14

Time: 10:00am-11:30am

Cost: $35

Location: Norte Wheelhouse

All classes are targeted towards kids 1st grade through high school but adults are welcome as well. Guardians who wish to attend with their child are required to register as well. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike to work on but if that’s not possible we can provide a bike to practice on. You will be getting your hands dirty so wear clothing that you don’t mind getting greasy, aprons and gloves will be provided but don’t always cover everything.
