Adventure Bike Club
Powered by Bubbie’s Bagels
Adventure Bike Club (ABC) is a spring and fall after-school program that is designed to challenge and inspire elementary and middle school students to discover new adventures through biking. Like our Summer Bike Camp, Youth Mountain Bike Club, and Balance Bike Club, ABC boosts confidence and teaches responsible riding skills in a fun and enjoyable way.
In order to be successful in Norte’s Adventure Bike Club, riders must be able to independently ride a two-wheeled pedal bike. Independent riders can safely start and stop, navigate around obstacles, and maintain control of their bicycles. Norte also prioritizes “off bike” skills such as following adult directions to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all riders while also demonstrating care for our community.
Children must be in 1st through 5th grade to participate in an ABC club. They do not need to attend the school that is hosting an ABC location, but they do need to be able to arrive on time to their selected location so the team can roll out at the start time. Children should be comfortable riding a two wheeled pedal bike while wearing a small backpack or bag containing a snack and water bottle. Helmets are required to be worn at all times. Of course, bikes are crucial too! Bring your own pedal bike to ride, or request to borrow a program bike for the duration of the Norte program.
