Should I register my child for pedal power beginner or pedal power rolling?
Pedal Power puts the finishing touches on the skills and knowledge riders need to move onto Adventure Bike Club, Summer Bike Camp, and Norte’s Youth Mountain Bike Club.
Pedal Power: Beginner is perfect for children transitioning to a pedal bike for the first time. Designed for riders with balance bike experience, this beginner course guides children through progressive levels—from coasting to pedaling—to build confidence and independence. Best suited for Jr. Kindergarten through 1st grade riders who need extra support moving from a balance bike to a two-wheeled pedal bike.
Where: Norte Wheelhouse
When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday August 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th from 9:30am-10:15am or 10:30am-11:15am.
Who: Jr. Kindergarten through 1st graders who need extra support moving from a balance bike to a two-wheeled bike.
Pedal Power: Rolling is ideal for children who can ride a pedal bike and are ready to build confidence, safety skills, and smart riding habits. Coaches support riders through longer rides, clear skill-building goals, frequent check-ins, and small-group instruction. Participants should be comfortable riding a pedal bike independently. Rather than practicing in one location, riders learn on the move—exploring safe routes while practicing hills, traffic and safety sign awareness, and responsible decision-making on the bike. This program is best suited for Jr. Kindergarten through 1st grade riders who are ready to ride with a small team and supportive coaches.
