Spring Break Repair Classes

Get kids out of the house over spring break! These fun classes offer technical-minded riders a hands-on, down-and-dirty opportunity to learn. Each class tackles specific repairs on the child’s own bike, empowering them to make basic repairs and perform maintenance that keeps them rolling. Each class is taught by Norte’s Chief Mechanic, Tyler Wituszynski, an experienced bike mechanic and excellent teacher.

Spring Break Classes

Spring break sessions are offered for two age-based sessions:

6th-12 graders Monday/Wednesday/Friday

12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Over the course of three days, students will learn progress from basic repairs to in-depth brake adjustments and derailleurs. We’ll cover several types of braking and shifting systems and address other topics, including an introduction to wheel truing and spoke tension.

1st-5th graders Tuesday/ Wednesday

10:00 am to 11:30 am

Empower your child to inspect their bike, keep it clean, and learn how to make basic repairs, including fixing a flat! These short, engaging classes are designed to demystify bike maintenance and help kids understand how it all works. They’ll be comfortable with the names of key components and making small tweaks!
